One very popular form of entrepreneurship/self-employment is simple contract work. It can be done for all types of trades from software development and graphic design to plumbing and bricklaying and all the way through legal and accounting services.
But while it is "simple" contract work, there are actually a lot of complex and subtle points known only by the people who have been there. Bring your knowledge and experience and pass it on so others don't have to make the same mistakes!
What I would love to see is:
- template contracts that people use (bring copies!)
- bullet point style advice, possibly with an anecdote to explain why it's important -- we can go around the room and drop one liners -- or maybe compose the list of points together
- brilliant questions from people just starting out
All we need is a panel of experienced contractors and a group of entusiastic upstarts!
